First we must preface that these checklists are for self-evaluation and formatted primarily for an opportunity to grow and recognize areas of character that maybe you have never considered before. This is not meant to bring any condemnation and is not to be seen as a list of rules or expectations.  Most importantly, we can always work on outward performance and have the “appearance” of godly character, but it begins with God changing our hearts.  This self-evaluation checklist is a tool that should be used only when you are equally working on the heart. A few recommended resources would be Changing Hearts, Changing Lives, and Shepherding A Child’s Heart.  We prefer the video series vs. the books, but both are packed full of probing questions that help you determine the motives of the heart and effectively point you back to the Cross.  The gospel is the reason our hearts should surrender to living in a way that points others to Christ.  See The Cross-Centered Life.

Before you get started on the Self-Evaluation Checklists,
